Halloween in China

Halloween at our school is a big event. This could be because to create a great costum is cheap in Canadian dollars. Lots of teachers go as a group and go all out. Me being a new teacher and not knowing this, left my costum too late, but I still wound up with a great costum.

I was the corpse bride, from the movie.

At the school the students get all into it, They get to dress up after lunch. I would be all into that if i had to wear a uniform everyday all day. There was a school dance, performances, (they love their singing here) and a haunted house and scary movies being played.

That weekend was the teachers weekend. We went to a bar, a band played that a few teachers husbands and boyfriends are in. Cheap drinks, this lead to a crazy costumed night. I attempted to make it to the night club, never quite made it.

Hey Sara! You need to update your blog again! It's almost December. That means that you've been really busy teaching, or drinking (or both!)
We had a snow day today; the kids didn't have to go to school, but the teachers did or else we wouldn't get paid :( Sucks! So, I got my dad to drive me in his 4x4 and I got lots of work done at least!
Life is busy here; we're still trying to figure out the details about building the house..there's so many hoops to jump through!
Hope you're having the time of your life! UPDATE YOUR BLOG! :)
